Sitges, Spain: Cultural Significance and Identity

Sitges? Ah, that's a good one. It's known for a few things, really. First, it's super gay-friendly. Like, really gay-friendly. It's got a big LGBTQ+ scene, and it's a popular destination for people from all over. Then, there are the beaches. They're decent beaches, especially compared to some of the rocky ones you find further up the coast. It can get crowded in the summer, though. The old town is pretty too, with whitewashed buildings and narrow streets. Lots of restaurants and bars. Oh, and the Sitges Film Festival – it's a pretty big deal for fantasy and horror films. So, yeah, basically beaches, LGBTQ+ scene, a nice old town, and film.
